Why respond to the consultation?

This is your opportunity as a Rotherham resident, or someone directly affected by these proposals to tell the Council if you support the proposals and what priorities you believe would best benefit your area. We want to hear your suggestions on how the Council and partners could help you, to improve the area you ether live or operate a business in.

The feedback from this consultation will be reported to Council before any decisions are taken and will influence the content of the ‘Area Plan’ for any areas which are declared under Selective Licensing.

This is your opportunity to get your priorities understood and addressed.

Introducing Selective Licensing in an area means that the Council would have the information, resources and powers which we need to ensure that all the private rented properties in the area are safe, in good condition and well managed. It will allow your area to benefit from additional service provision for the next 5 years.
