The current fence in place is old, rotten through and raises health and safety concerns for users of the footpath. All the fence panels are either unstable or broken with exposed rusty nails along its length. The ginnel enables residents and non-residents shorter access between Thrybergh and the main road Doncaster Road. It is also used during school time by school children accessing primary and secondary schools in Thrybergh. The proposed new fencing will gentrify the area making it more attractive for people who use it, enabling residents to take pride in their community. The removal of the old fencing will also make it safer to use especially for the school children.
