Fleming Gardens is comprised of ten, 2-bedroomed properties in the Flanderwell area, all of which are decorated and furnished to a very high standard. The houses are close to local shops, schools and public transport, and support is available Monday to Friday as well as some evenings and weekends. The service offers a personalised package of support for up to 2 years, and typically includes work on parenting and independent living skills, self esteem, confidence raising and healthy relationships. Fleming Gardens Outreach
IMG_0109The Fleming Gardens service also offers Tenancy and Pre-Tenancy work, where we can support young mums or mums-to-be to move into a new tenancy, or to help them to maintain the tenancy that they already have. We will work with them on the skills needed to care for their family effectively and move on positively with their lives.
We will facilitate constructive dialogue with landlords where there is a threat of eviction, and assist our clients to develop strategies to better manage their visitors, budget their money and pay their bills. We will advise on college and work, and research suitable childcare where needed.
YWCA Yorkshire owns 7 outreach properties in the Flanderwell and Bramley areas of the town, which are close to our core service at Fleming Gardens, or we will work with clients on an outreach basis anywhere in Rotherham.
