Service description
My aim is to create a warm, welcoming, caring environment. I have a NVQ 2 Certificate in Early Years Care and Education, CACHE level 2, NVQ level 3 Early Years care and education, Paediatric First Aid, Basic Food Hygiene, Safeguarding and a HND in Graphic Design.
I have been childminding since 2007 and have attended many courses over the years which have been very beneficial in providing good childcare, including, ''''Developing Good Behaviour with school age children'''', fire safety, dental hygiene, promoting equality of opportunity, and many more. I follow the EYFS framework, observing, assessing and planning for each child. We celebrate a variety of cultural occasions, including Christmas, Easter, Chinese new year, Diwali, Holi and Eid.
I have a large secure garden with a variety of toys and open ended resources, eg sand, water, small slide and swing, sports equipment and bikes and scooters. The local parks are very close and we visit regularly, we also visit the library, play group and occasionally play centres.
I have a variety of educational toys and equipment as well as a computer with fun educational games and musical instruments.
We also enjoy baking, celebrating special occasions.
I am located approximately 10 minutes walking distance from Thorpe Hesley School and I walk to school with the children every day.
Inclusion Information
At my setting I am commited to include children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities including medical and dietary requirements.
I work in partnership with outside agencies that support with your child to guarantee a multi-agency approach when meeting your child’s identified individual needs.
I have accessed training around areas relating to Special Educational Needs and disability with a commitment to keeping this updated.
