I gained my N.N.E.B qualification in 1991 and since then have been involved in many aspects of childcare, from working in a Shoppers creche to managing a private day nursery. Before registration as a child minder I worked for eight years at Thorpe Hesley Infant School as the Nursery Nurse for the Foundation Unit.I have been childminding since 2006 and gained four ''Outstanding'' Ofsted grades in my inspections. My aim is to provide a warm, homely stimulating environment in which children can learn, play and have fun. I encourage children to be confident, independent and to develop their self esteem.
I am committed to providing a quality reliable service that offers children a nurturing environment, my aim is to ensure children feel relaxed, safe secure and happy within my care.
I have an excellent knowledge of the Early Learning Goals, which will be reflected in my planning. Each activity will be adapted to each child''s individual needs and development. Making play challenging and exciting will help each child reach their highest potential. I encourage positive attitudes to learning through celebration of achievements, whether they are academic, social or behavioural.
I have been married for twenty seven years and live with my husband Robert and three children Jay, Max and Freya. We live on the Bramley Grange Estate. This is within easy walking distance to and from Bramley Grange Primary School.
