Service description
I am a qualified Early Years Teacher with over 20 years experience in education and Inclusion Support. I have had extensive involvement with additional needs, particularly: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Speech and Language issues, Downs Syndrome, Acute Physical Disabilities, Behavioural and Emotional issues and children displaying complex global delay. Although most of my experience comes from working in a classroom, I am now dedicated to providing a home based alternative where your child can enjoy a welcoming, kind and personalised care and education experience – ensuring they are ready for their next steps in their journey through school.
I have an interest in all things creative – my degree is in Art, so you can expect plenty of hand crafted ‘things’ sent home for your fridge door. I also enjoy cooking and baking and hope to pass these skills onto your children.
In accordance with my Ofsted registration, I am qualified to childmind for 6 children aged 0-12 [of these 6, only 3 can be under 5, and only 1 can be a baby]
I live with my husband and Bunny – our in-training Therapy Dog. We have a large, safe and enclosed garden that I hope will be used for lots of curriculum play and learning. I have a designated Playroom that is bright and airy and used exclusively for childcare. It has a comfy sofa, small table and chairs and shelving, enabling children to self-access activities and resources. From here, they can gain supervised access into the garden. I live within walking distance to Clifton Park, and will happily access Rotherham Leisure Centre and other sports, leisure and cultural facilities. I hold a full UK driving licence and will travel for pick ups / drop offs if required. I am interested in exploring various curricula such as Montessori, Waldorf and Forest School but I shall ensure that these will be embedded within the Early Years Curriculum. In providing a child centred set of activities, and working in partnership with you, I will ensure your child receives the very best care I can provide.
I am a Paediatric First Aider, am fully trained in food hygiene and hold a full UK driving licence.
Costs from £6.00 per hour.
