Here at ‘The Nursery’ we aim to provide a happy, nurturing and secure environment where all children will develop and learn.
We are located on Lodge Lane in Aston and are ideally situated for both commuters and families within the local community. Our long opening hours ensure we can provide you with more flexibility to suit your working day.
Cost per hour - £6.40 / £6.20 / £6.00
Cost per day - £64.00 / £62.00 / £60.00
Cost per session - £32.00 / £31.00 / £30.00
Our Staff Team
At ‘The Nursery’ we have an enthusiastic team of Early Years Practitioners who are committed to providing the highest quality care for your children. Our practitioners are selected following a rigorous recruitment process, during which we take into account qualifications, experience and commitment. All practitioners have access to a wide range of training programs throughout the year, enabling them to continually build on their skills and knowledge. At ‘The Nursery’ we pride ourselves on the high qualifications of our staff team, which are above and beyond the guidelines specified by Ofsted.
Your Key Person
During your settling in sessions at ‘The Nursery’ you will be introduced to your child’s key person, who has special responsibilities for working with you and your child, giving them the reassurance to feel safe and cared for during their time at nursery. Your key person will spend time building a close relationship with you and your child to ensure that they can fully meet your needs. Your key person will also spend a lot of time talking to you and observing your child to find out about their individual interests and will use this information to plan exciting experiences for them each day. Each key person works closely with parents and carers to ensure that any questions are answered and that you are fully involved in your child’s learning and development.
Outdoor Play
We believe that outdoor play is central to children’s learning and development. We have a no cancellation policy on outdoor play, meaning that our children experience all types of weather and seasons outdoors!
Outings
As well as outdoor play we take children on regular walks around the local village, where they can develop their knowledge and interest in the local community. We also go on regular trips to the local woodland area with the toddlers and 3-5 year old''''''''s, as this offers children the opportunity to really experience the natural world, take risks and use their imaginations in a different environment. Parent/Carer consent is sought before we take children out on walks or outings.
Parents as Partners
We recognise that parents/carers are children’s first and most important educators and we aim to build positive relationships with all parents/carers. In addition to developing a relationship between our children''''''''s parents and their key worker, we aim to keep you well informed of activities, events and your child''''''''s progress through our online communication process "Tapestry".
We offer extended hours at the beginning and end of the day for those with a longer commute and we can provide childcare for parents who work variable shift patterns. We have funded places for 2,3 & 4 year old children and we participate in the extended 30 hours per week scheme.

Inclusion Information
Our nursery has a commitment to including children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities including medical and dietary requirements.
We work in partnership with outside agencies that support with your child to guarantee a multi-agency approach when meeting your child’s identified individual needs. All staff within our nursery have accessed training around areas relating to Special Educational Needs and disability with a commitment to keeping this updated.
