All Children Great and Small is a Forest School Nursery. Forest School is an inspirational process, that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment. Forest School is a specialised learning approach that sits within and complements the Early Years Foundation Stage beautifully. Forest School allows children the opportunity to develop all 7 areas of learning without the confines of a classroom.
Research now backs up what forest school practitioners have known all along – that children and young people are stimulated by the outdoors and typically experience over time, an increase in their self-belief, confidence, learning capacity, enthusiasm, communication and problem-solving skills as well as emotional well-being.
