What is a Typical Day for Newly Qualified Social Carer at Rotherham?
As told by Jessica:
As a newly qualified social carer with Rotherham, I start the day joining my team's daily online huddle where we discuss any successes, share information and plans for the day. Then it's time for a home visit to a lady who has started to receive a package of home care to complete a review. I want to ensure the support she is getting is working well and helping her achieve what she had in mind when we worked on the plan together. I will also be preparing for a reflective supervision session and this week I want to talk about how we support carers. I will read any pertinent articles I may find and think about the theories that inform how we work with carers, to discuss them with my assessor.
