Making, Making Visible by ROAR (Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance)

Saturday and Sunday, Pop-up

ROAR are excited to bring #MakingMakingVisible to the Rotherham Show and they want you to join them!

This is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the festival atmosphere and showcase your artistic talents through plein air painting. Following their successful skillshare sessions, ROAR are inviting everyone to come and display their skills in the open, capturing all angles of the event.

Members will be there showcasing their skills, spreading the word about ROAR and connecting with festivalgoers. Meet fellow artists, engage with the community, and enjoy a fun-filled day at the festival. All skill levels are welcome!

Meet at midday - the exact location will be send to anyone who has signed up and also published on their social media on the day - or join them if you see them at any point!

Grumpah are a unique, roaming, musical trio who with their extensive repertoire from Gershwin to Gaga and an energetic approach, will make your day go with a swing, hop and a jump!

Man in a Box by Maynard Flip Flap

Sunday, 1:00pm, 2:30pm - 4:00pm

Curiosity is aroused by the arrival of two characters with a box. Despite his size, one manages to climb in and shut the lid. Suddenly the box leaps into life, grows legs and totters off. Carefully guided by his companion, the box then meets and greets and plays footsie with the amazed onlookers.

Farmer Giles by Artizani

Saturday, Midday, 1.30pm & 3pm

Sunday, 11.30am, 1:00pm & 2.30pm

Look out for Farmer Giles who you’ll find leaning over his five bar gate giving advice on any subject from farming (about which he knows little) to philosophy (about which he knows less). This gently surreal street performance is quick witted and hilarious.
