Get help with home adaptations

Requesting adaptations to your home

If you would like to make any adaptations to your home, you will need to have an Occupational Therapy assessment to make sure you are eligible.

Following the assessment the Occupational Therapist may issue you some equipment or recommend minor adaptations to your home such as grab rails, or hand rails. They may also recommend major adaptations such as ramped access, level access shower or a stair lift.

Please note that if you live in a Council property and the access height is over 800mm or the property is under-occupied, we will look into rehousing for you before considering major adaptations.
