Highlights

UPLIFT

UPLIFT returns to Rotherham from Thursday 25 until Saturday 27 July at 11am to 4:30pm.

Transforming the town centre into an urban playground with a variety of amazing activities including a pop-up skate park, roller-skating rink, parkour, dance, live music, workshops, makers' market and more.

Once again, we will be working with The House Skate Park, Roller Girl Gang, Rotherham BMX and Waller BMX. We are also excited to be welcoming Nova City to this event for the first time.

A programme will be available at UPLIFT to guide you around the event.

Our Habitats, Our Home Exhibition

On Saturday 20 July Clifton Park Museum launches their new exhibition, Our Habitats, Our Home.

The Museum’s beloved brown bear, Marco, is back to explore the past, present, and future of Rotherham’s habitats. Nature lovers can discover animals from our huge natural history collection and much more in this family-friendly exhibition.

A variety of activities and workshops will be taking place to celebrate the exhibition over the summer.

On Tuesday 23 July family-friendly activities will be taking place which creatively explore how we can protect our environment for the future.

On Wednesday 31 July there will be a storytelling session exploring Marco’s story with professional story makers and children’s touring theatre company Tell Tale Hearts.

The exhibition and workshops are open to all and free to attend.

Robin Hood Pantomime

Rotherham Civic Theatre’s beloved family pantomime returns with the fun filled adventure, Robin Hood.

You can expect all the usual fun Rotherham pantomime madness as Robin Hood inspires Friar Tuck, Little Jane, and Will Scarlett to help feed the poor of Nottingham.

The pantomime will be running from Thursday 28 November to Sunday 5 January 2025.

Parkruns

Rother Valley parkrun in Rother Valley Country Park and the Rotherham parkrun in Clifton Park usually take place on Saturday's at 9am.

Please note that these are not Council run events but led by volunteers.

Rotherham Libraries

Rotherham Libraries host regular weekly activities across the borough such as: Lego clubs, Rhymetimes, computer classes, knit and natter groups, advice sessions, craft sessions, readers groups and local history groups.

Rotherham Theatres
