Clifton Park and Museum has been named as a winner of this year’s VisitEngland’s Visitor Attraction Welcome Accolades.

The VisitEngland’s Welcome Accolade is awarded to those attractions that give visitors a genuinely excellent welcome to their attraction. This honour relates to teams who go the extra mile to ensure their visitors are very well looked after and get the most out of their visit at Clifton Park and Museum, which is run by Rotherham Council.

Marks were allocated to the 97 attractions across the country for the outstanding experiences they provide to visitors across categories including Welcome, Best Told Story, Quality Food and Drink, Hidden Gem and Gold for overall winners.

Rotherham Council’s Cabinet Member for Social Inclusion, Cllr David Sheppard, said: “We’re really proud that the Park and Museum have achieved this award which recognises the quality of the Museum team through providing an excellent warm, friendly welcome to visitors and making sure they receive the best customer experience during their visit. Well done to the Museum service for their hard work and passion in welcoming visitors from near and far.”

Visit England will be posting the VisitEngland’s Welcome Accolade certificate during the next week, and Clifton Park and Museum staff will put it on display to highlight their achievement.
