There are many benefits to a respite care or short stay. For our service users it can offer increased social interaction, new experiences and a change of scenery which can improve health, wellbeing and mood. For carers it can often provide the opportunity to attend an event, take a holiday or simply enjoy a few days to rest.
What is more, respite breaks can be enjoyed on a regular basis to give people chance to get to know other service users.
As well as providing quality care, we take the time to get to know service users and understand their likes and dislikes, even those who are only with us for a few days.
We’ll find out what they have in common with other service users and our care team will help to build relationships and shared moments. That way carers can enjoy peace of mind while their loved ones truly feel ‘at home’.

Our Vision
To work in partnership with service users, relatives, carers and other people to provide a range of services which recognise and respond to individual social, cultural, spiritual and emotional needs.
Assist and encourage service users to exercise their rights to privacy, dignity, independence, security, choice and to preserve their rights as citizens of Rotherham.
Assist and encourage service users to retain and extend control over their own life and remain as independent as possible.
This may involve some risk and, whilst Conway is unable to provide havens of total safety, the service will ensure any risks identified will be managed and kept to a minimum.
Ensuring Quality
Service users, carers and other people who are involved in the service will be consulted with regularly to enable the service to seek views and to use these to develop and improve service provision. The findings of the quality assurance, including any required action plan for improvement will be made available.
