Types of anti-social behaviour
What is classed as anti-social behaviour
- Excessive noise (including banging, shouting, amplified music, persistent dog barking etc)
- Hate related non-crime incidents
- Rowdy, aggressive or threatening behaviour or language
- Nuisance associated with frequent visitors
- Intimidation or harassment
- Nuisance from vehicles
This list is not exhaustive.
What is not classed as anti-social behaviour
- Children playing and babies crying.
- Everyday household noises like walking, TV, music, washing machines, and DIY during reasonable hours.
- One-off parties, BBQs, and cultural festivals.
- Cooking smells and other normal household odors.
- Vaping and smoking legal tobacco inside a home.
- Minor car maintenance and parking disputes
- Minor disagreements, staring, ignoring, and gossip.
- Escalated disputes unless they involve violence, threats, or harassment.
- Playing ball games that don't cause damage.
- Slightly messy gardens unless they attract pests.
- CCTV and Surveillance - Follow guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
- Cannabis Smoking
