Occupational Therapy

What is Occupational Therapy?

The Occupational Therapy Team works with adults and children of all abilities. They will work with you to help you do the things that you need or want to do.

This could include:

  • helping to find different ways of doing things such as getting washed and dressed or making a meal
  • helping with minor adaptations to your home
  • arranging major adaptations, such as ramps and stair lifts
  • providing specialist equipment, such as a shower chair or a mobile hoist
  • referring you to other services who may be able to help you
  • giving advice and support to carers.
