Report a concern about an adult

How to report a concern about yourself or another adult

If you are an adult who is being abused, or think you may be, please talk to someone you trust or contact us.

If you want to report a concern on behalf of someone else, if it safe to do so, first talk to the person you think is being abused. If you can’t speak to the person for any reason, it is safer to report your concern to us even if you’re not completely sure or don’t have all the details.

If the person confides in you, you should ask their permission before you report it. If asking permission might make things worse for them, or if you would feel uncomfortable asking, report your concern to us.

If you're a paid carer or volunteer, tell a manager in your agency.
